The Munford Lions basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Wellborn Panthers to 47 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Anniston for a 4A Area 8 contest on Friday, January 12. Munford will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 38-36 non-league loss to White Plains (Anniston, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-6.
The Panthers (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Ohatchee (Ohatchee, AL). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Ohatchee was defeated by Munford (Munford, AL), 57-46, in a non-league contest.
