With the victory, Slocum improves its record to 7-15 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Centerville (Groveton, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A Region IV District 27 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-14. Centerville lost 76-42 in their recent league challenge against Apple Springs (Apple Springs, TX)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Laneville Yellowjackets (Laneville, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 27 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Neches will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 14-12 record after their 62-51 league win over Wells (Wells, TX).
