The Nocona Indians basketball team scored 29 points and restricted the visiting Seymour Panthers to 28 in the Indians league victory on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Windthorst for a 2A Region II District 9 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Nocona will battle a Trojans team coming off a 62-28 league win over Petrolia (Petrolia, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 14-8.

The Panthers (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Archer City (Archer City, TX). The Wildcats come into the 2A Region II District 9 contest with a 8-13 record. In their last contest, Archer City edged Olney (Olney, TX), 43-40, in a league contest.
