The San Ysidro Cougars basketball team (San Diego, CA), was routed 62-40 in Friday's league battle with the host Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA)

The Mustangs now sport a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bonita Vista for a Mesa battle on Wednesday, January 17. Otay Ranch will battle a Barons team coming off a 56-38 non-league loss to Mission Bay (San Diego, CA). The Barons record now stands at 11-10.

The Cougars (4-15) will now prepare for their battle against Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA). The Crusaders come into the Mesa battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Mater Dei Catholic was routed by St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA), 85-72, in a non-league battle.
