Victoria East Titans (Victoria, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Ray Texans (Corpus Christi, TX), 60-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Victoria East upgrades its record to 17-11 on the season. The Titans host Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 5A Region IV District 29 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 22-4.

Next up, the Texans clash with the Victoria West Warriors (Victoria, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 29 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Ray will attempt to upgrade on its 14-11 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 64-62 league loss to Miller (Corpus Christi, TX).
