In Friday's league outing, the Scarborough Red Storm (Scarborough, ME) basketball squad felled the visiting Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME), by a margin of 70-53.
The Red Storm (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against South Portland (South Portland, ME). The Red Riots go into the AA South outing with a 4-6 record. In their last outing, South Portland thwarted Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME), 47-35, in a league outing.
The Spartans now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Lewiston for a non-league outing on Monday, January 15. Sanford will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 66-57 league win over Bangor (Bangor, ME). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-9.
