North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central tipped by Ashe County

In Friday's league match, the host Ashe County Huskies basketball team scored a tight 68-61 triumph over the Alexander Central Cougars.

In their next game, the Huskies meet the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern match, on Tuesday, January 16. Ashe County will attempt to move on its 9-5 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 12-1 record after their 52-34 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
