The Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN) basketball crushed the host Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN), 75-53 in Friday's league test.
The Magic (13-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Francis (St. Francis, MN). The Fighting Saints go into the AAA Section 5 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, St. Francis was trounced by Duluth East (Duluth, MN), 51-43, in a non-league test.
The Hornets now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Becker for a AAA Section 5 test on Thursday, January 18.
