In Friday's league outing, the Kearny Komets (San Diego, CA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA), by a margin of 50-20.

The Komets (12-10) will now prepare for their outing against Mission Bay (San Diego, CA). The Buccaneers go into the Central outing with a 7-15 record. In their last outing, Mission Bay smashed Bernstein (Hollywood, CA), 42-35, in a non-league outing.

The Chieftains now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Madison for a Central outing on Friday, January 19.
