The Kerens Bobcats basketball team (Kerens, TX), was overwhelmed 59-28 in Friday's league battle with the host Cross Roads Bobcats (Malakoff, TX)
The Bobcats now possess a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host LaPoynor for a 2A Region III District 19 battle on Wednesday, January 17. Cross Roads will confront a Flyers team coming off a 56-23 league win over Cayuga (Cayuga, TX). The Flyers record now stands at 14-7.
The Bobcats (1-16) will now prepare for their battle against Frankston (Frankston, TX). The Indians come into the 2A Region III District 19 battle with a 14-6 record. In their last battle, Frankston was overwhelmed by Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX), 79-37, in a league battle.
