North Forsyth Raiders (Cumming, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), 57-6 in a league bout.

With the win, North Forsyth upgrades its record to 17-0 on the season. The Raiders host Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA) to clash with the Raiders in a AAAAAA Region 8 bout on Saturday, January 13. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Habersham Central won 50-33 in their recent league bout against Apalachee (Winder, GA)

Next up, the Red Elephants clash with the Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 8 bout, on Saturday, January 13. Gainesville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 47-39 league win over Shiloh (Snellville, GA).
