The Hancock Owls basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors to 26 in the Owls league triumph on Friday.

The Owls now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brandon/Evansville for a A Section 6 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Hancock will meet a Chargers team coming off a 62-24 league win over Ashby (Ashby, MN). The Chargers record now stands at 9-2.

The Warriors (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Rothsay (Rothsay, MN). The Tigers enter the A Section 6 contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Rothsay triumphed over Parkers Prairie (Parkers Prairie, MN), 61-49, in a league contest.
