Georgia High School Basketball - Islands ripped by Wayne County

The Wayne County Yellow Jackets basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Islands Sharks to 25 in the Yellow Jackets league triumph on Friday.
The Yellow Jackets now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. Wayne County will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 41-22 league loss to Johnson (Savannah, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-8.
Next up, the Sharks play the New Hampstead Phoenix (Savannah, GA) in a AAAA Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Islands will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 48-33 league loss to Burke County (Waynesboro, GA).
