North Carolina High School Basketball - Piedmont Community Charter can't hold off Jackson Day

The Jackson Day Mariners basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Piedmont Community Charter Patriots to 37 in the Mariners non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mariners now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valor Preparatory Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Jackson Day will battle a Owls team coming off a 36-22 league loss to Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Owls record now stands at 0-10.

The Patriots (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Carolina International (Concord, NC). The Comets enter the 1A Metro 8 contest with a 0-8 record.
