The Lanier Bulldogs basketball team scored 35 points and held the visiting Richland Rangers to 28 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Raymond for a 4A Region 6 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Lanier will battle a Rangers team coming off a 61-45 non-league loss to Madison-Ridgeland Academy (Madison, MS). The Rangers record now stands at 4-14.

With the defeat, Richland moves to 11-9 on the year. The Rangers host McAdams (McAdams, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, January 13. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 8-11. McAdams won 47-32 in their recent league match against French Camp Academy (French Camp, MS)
