Lanier Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Richland Rangers (Richland, MS), 37-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lanier upgrades its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Moss Point (Moss Point, MS) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 12-18. Moss Point lost 38-30 in their recent league bout against Greene County (Leakesville, MS)

Next up, the Rangers play the Greene County Wildcats (Leakesville, MS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Richland will attempt to upgrade on its 17-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 16-16 record after their 38-30 league win over Moss Point (Moss Point, MS).
