St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rice Memorial Green Knights (South Burlington, VT), 78-14 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Johnsbury Academy upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Essex (Essex Junction, VT) to play the Hornets in a Metro bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Green Knights play the Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets (St. Albans, VT) in a Metro bout, on Monday, January 15. Rice Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Bobwhites/Comets come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 55-48 non-league win over Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT).
