South Salem Saxons (Salem, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Sprague Olympians (Salem, OR), 68-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, South Salem upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Saxons host McNary (Keizer, OR) to play the Celtics in a 6A Central Valley bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Celtics come into the bout with a record of 10-4. McNary won 66-23 in their recent league bout against North Salem (Salem, OR)

Next up, the Olympians play the West Salem Titans (Salem, OR) in a 6A Central Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Sprague will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Titans come into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 61-31 league win over South Salem (Salem, OR).
