The Nelson County Governors basketball team (Lovingston, VA), was nudged 29-22 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA)
The Hawks now possess a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chatham for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 16. Gretna will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 44-19 non-league loss to Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-8.
The Governors (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Colonels come into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record.
