Tonopah Muckers (Tonopah, NV) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Beatty Hornets (Beatty, NV), 47-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tonopah upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Muckers travel to Lone Pine (Lone Pine, CA) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Lone Pine lost 44-36 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop Union (Bishop, CA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Indian Springs Thunderbirds (Indian Springs, NV) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Beatty will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
