The Madison County Mountaineers basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Clarke County Eagles to 31 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Mountaineers now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rappahannock County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Madison County will battle a team coming off a 34-27 non-league loss to Luray (Luray, VA). The record now stands at 6-4.
The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Luray (Luray, VA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Luray triumphed over Rappahannock County (Washington, VA), 34-27, in a non-league contest.
