Madison County Mountaineers (Madison, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA), 45-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Madison County upgrades its record to 9-11 on the season. The Mountaineers host Rappahannock County (Washington, VA) to play the in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Rappahannock County won 39-33 in their recent non-league bout against Luray (Luray, VA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Luray Bulldogs (Luray, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Clarke County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 39-33 non-league loss to Rappahannock County (Washington, VA).
