Murfreesboro Rattlers (Murfreesboro, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR), 60-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Murfreesboro upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Rattlers travel to Mineral Springs (Mineral Springs, AR) to play the Hornets in a 1A Region 7 bout on Monday, January 23. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 2-5.

Next up, the Tigers play the Magazine Rattlers (Magazine, AR) in a 2A Region 4 bout, on Monday, January 16. Acorn will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Rattlers come into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 62-42 league win over Future School of Fort Smith (Fort Smith, AR).
