Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Murfreesboro Rattlers (Murfreesboro, AR), 66-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Acorn upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Tigers travel to Foreman (Foreman, AR) to play the Gators in a 2A Region 7 bout on Friday, December 9. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Foreman lost 69-28 in their recent league bout against Dierks (Dierks, AR)

Next up, the Rattlers play the Genoa Central Dragons (Texarkana, AR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Murfreesboro will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 94-45 non-league win over Avinger (Avinger, TX).
