Airport Jets (Carleton, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Jefferson Bears (Monroe, MI), 59-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Airport upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Jets host Lincoln Park (Lincoln Park, MI) to play the Railsplitters in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Railsplitters come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Lincoln Park won 53-24 in their recent league bout against Roosevelt (Wyandotte, MI)

Next up, the Bears play the Riverview Pirates (Riverview, MI) in a Huron bout, on Friday, January 20. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 65-38 league win over Huron (New Boston, MI).
