The Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) basketball crushed the visiting Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings (Edgewood, IA), 73-31 in Friday's league test.
The Pirates (9-3) will now prepare for their test against Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA). The Wildcats go into the Tri-Rivers test with a 9-3 record. In their last test, Maquoketa Valley walloped East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA), 68-37, in a league test.
The Vikings now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to North Linn for a Tri-Rivers test on Tuesday, January 17. Edgewood-Colesburg will encounter a Lynx squad coming off a 98-30 league win over Springville (Springville, IA). The Lynx record now stands at 13-1.
