North Carolina High School Basketball - Starmount topples Alleghany

January 13, 2023: Boonville, NC 27011

In Friday's league outing, the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), by a count of 53-40.

The Rams (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league outing with a 1-14 record.

The Trojans now hold a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mount Airy for a 1A Conference 36 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Alleghany will clash with a Granite Bears squad coming off a 82-31 league win over Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 3-7.
