The Banks County Leopards basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Athens Academy Spartans to 69 in the Leopards league triumph on Friday.

The Leopards now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Providence Christian Academy for a AA Region 8 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Banks County will meet a Storm team coming off a 61-30 league win over Fellowship Christian (Roswell, GA). The Storm record now stands at 15-2.

The Spartans (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against North Oconee (Bogart, GA). The Titans enter the non-league contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, North Oconee was defeated by Stephens County (Toccoa, GA), 65-62, in a non-league contest.
