The Avery Bulldogs basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Bloomburg Wildcats to 16 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yantis for a 1A Region III District 24 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Avery will play a Owls squad coming off a 98-29 league win over Bloomburg (Bloomburg, TX). The Owls record now stands at 8-6.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX) in a 1A Region III District 24 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Bloomburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 5-18 record after their 64-41 league loss to Saltillo (Saltillo, TX).
