With the victory, Cherokee upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Richland Springs (Richland Springs, TX) to play the Coyotes in a 1A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Coyotes come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Eagles play the Rochelle Hornets (Rochelle, TX) in a 1A Region III District 17 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Lohn will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 49-29 league loss to Lometa (Lometa, TX).
