Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays (Johnstown, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Ferndale Yellow Jackets (Johnstown, PA), 47-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Conemaugh Valley upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Blue Jays travel to Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA) to play the Vikings in a Western Pennsylvania - Northern bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Blacklick Valley lost 58-29 in their recent league bout against Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets play the Shanksville Stonycreek Vikings (Shanksville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Ferndale will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 1-10 record after their 59-34 non-league loss to North Star (Boswell, PA).
