The Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Dayton Broncos (Dayton, TX), 59-31 in Friday's league test.
The Panthers (24-3) will now prepare for their test against Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX). The Panthers go into the 5A Region II District 16 test with a 10-15 record. In their last test, Kingwood Park was trounced by Porter (Porter, TX), 34-24, in a league test.
The Broncos now own a 9-16 record. They play next when they host Huntsville for a 5A Region II District 16 test on Tuesday, January 17. Dayton will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 59-35 league loss to Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 2-12.
