Alabama High School Basketball - Millry can't hold off Fruitdale

The Fruitdale Pirates basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Millry Wildcats to 47 in the Pirates non-league victory on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leroy for a 1A Area 1 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Fruitdale will battle a Bears team coming off a 66-39 non-league loss to Thomasville (Thomasville, AL). The Bears record now stands at 2-3.
The Wildcats (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Marengo (Dixons Mills, AL). The Panthers come into the 1A Area 4 contest with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Marengo was nipped by Millry (Millry, AL), 50-41, in a league match.
