The Langley Saxons basketball team (McLean, VA), was nudged 34-29 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA)

The Hornets now possess a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host McLean for a District 2 battle on Tuesday, January 17. Herndon will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 55-43 league loss to Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 5-7.

The Saxons (7-8) will now prepare for their battle against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Statesmen come into the District 5 battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, George C. Marshall edged Yorktown (Arlington, VA), 48-33, in a non-league battle.
