The Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) basketball crushed the host Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), 84-53 in Monday's league test.

The Saxons (10-10) will now prepare for their test against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Statesmen go into the District 2 test with a 15-2 record. In their last test, George C. Marshall walloped Yorktown (Arlington, VA), 60-31, in a non-league test.

The Hornets now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to McLean for a District 2 test on Thursday, February 9. Herndon will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 73-59 league loss to Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-9.
