Virginia High School Basketball - Oscar Smith overwhelms Indian River

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) and the visiting Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), saw Oscar Smith's basketball squad wallop Indian River by a tally of 67-45.

With the victory, Oscar Smith improves its record to 11-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Kempsville (Virginia Beach, VA) to confront the Chiefs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Kempsville won 49-44 in their recent league challenge against First Colonial (Virginia Beach, VA)

Next up, the Braves confront the Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Indian River will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 88-68 non-league loss to Tallwood (Virginia Beach, VA).
