Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR), 62-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Joseph upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Cove (Cove, OR) to play the Leopards in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Saturday, January 14. The Leopards go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Cove won 48-44 in their recent league bout against Powder Valley (North Powder, OR)

Next up, the Spartans play the Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Saturday, January 14. Pine Eagle will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 53-12 league loss to Imbler (Imbler, OR).
