Kecoughtan Warriors (Hampton, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA), 69-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Kecoughtan upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Warriors host Science Park (Newark, NJ) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Science Park won 65-37 in their recent non-league bout against Shabazz (Newark, NJ)

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Gonzaga Eagles (Washington, DC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Woodside will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 16-0 record after their 69-52 league win over St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD).
