The West Rebels basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Knoxville Central Bobcats to 67 in the Rebels league triumph on Friday.
The Rebels now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Karns for a 4A District 3 contest on Tuesday, January 17. West will battle a Beavers team coming off a 67-64 league loss to Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, TN). The Beavers record now stands at 10-5.
The Bobcats (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Powell (Powell, TN). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, Powell was defeated by Karns (Knoxville, TN), 73-59, in a league contest.
