The West Rebels basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Knoxville Central Bobcats to 58 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Rebels now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Karns for a 4A District 3 contest on Friday, February 3. West will meet a Beavers team coming off a 54-49 league loss to Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, TN). The Beavers record now stands at 14-6.
The Bobcats (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Powell (Powell, TN). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 6-17 record. In their last contest, Powell ran past Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN), 78-73, in a league contest.
