In Friday's non-league match, the host Maize Eagles basketball team scored a good 64-51 triumph over the Newton Railroaders.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Derby Panthers (Derby, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I match, on Tuesday, January 31. Maize will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record.
