Massachusetts High School Basketball - Swampscott can't hold off Marblehead

The Marblehead Magicians basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Swampscott Big Blue to 60 in the Magicians league triumph on Friday.

The Magicians now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Masconomet Regional for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Marblehead will battle a Chieftains team coming off a 57-44 non-league loss to Saugus (Saugus, MA). The Chieftains record now stands at 4-6.

The Big Blue (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lynn Classical (Lynn, MA). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Lynn Classical was nudged by Lynn English (Lynn, MA), 86-43, in a league contest.
