Marblehead Magicians (Marblehead, MA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA), 83-64 in a league bout.

With the win, Marblehead upgrades its record to 12-6 on the season. The Magicians host Bedford (Bedford, MA) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league bout on Sunday, February 19. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Bedford won 64-56 in their recent non-league bout against Leominster (Leominster, MA)

Next up, the Big Blue play the Lowell Catholic Crusaders (Lowell, MA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 18. Swampscott will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 68-50 league win over Northeast Metro RVT (Wakefield, MA).
