The Mira Costa Mustangs basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Santa Monica Vikings to 42 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 18-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lawndale for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Mira Costa will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 60-44 league win over South (Torrance, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 11-9.

The Vikings (13-9) will now prepare for their contest against Culver City (Culver City, CA). The Centaurs come into the Bay contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Culver City prevailed over Palos Verdes (Palos Verdes Estates, CA), 73-52, in a league contest.
