The Lions now possess a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smyer for a 2A Region I District 4 battle on Tuesday, January 17. New Deal will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 60-54 league win over Ralls (Ralls, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-17.

The Hornets (1-9) will now prepare for their battle against Lockney (Lockney, TX). The Longhorns come into the 2A Region I District 4 battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Lockney was overwhelmed by Hale Center (Hale Center, TX), 61-57, in a league battle.
