Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), 72-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Our Lady of Good Counsel upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Potter's House Christian (Jacksonville, FL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 15. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Potter's House Christian lost 87-50 in their recent non-league bout against Shabach Christian Academy (Landover, MD)

Next up, the Cadets play the DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD) in a Washington Catholic bout, on Tuesday, January 17. St. John's will attempt to upgrade on its 15-1 season record. The Stags come into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 66-55 non-league win over Bishop Loughlin (Brooklyn, NY).
