Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA) and the visiting South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), saw Phoenix's basketball squad overcome South Plaquemines by a tally of 63-51.
With the victory, Phoenix improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 8-7.
Next up, the Hurricanes confront the International Panthers (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. South Plaquemines will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record.
