West Virginia High School Basketball - Winfield can't hold off Ripley

The Ripley Vikings basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Winfield Generals to 46 in the Vikings league victory on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 10-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Point Pleasant for a Freelance contest on Tuesday, January 17. Ripley will battle a Big Blacks team coming off a 65-27 non-league win over Eastern (Reedsville, OH). The Big Blacks record now stands at 4-5.

The Generals (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Scott (Madison, WV). The Skyhawks come into the Cardinal contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Scott edged Wayne (Wayne, WV), 57-52, in a league contest.
