The West Tallahatchie Choctaws basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting West Bolivar Eagles to 31 in the Choctaws league triumph on Friday.

The Choctaws now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Simmons for a 1A Region 5 contest on Tuesday, January 17. West Tallahatchie will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 58-51 league win over West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS). The Blue Devils record now stands at 10-4.

The Eagles (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Simmons (Hollandale, MS). The Blue Devils enter the 1A Region 5 contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Simmons ran past Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS), 74-53, in a non-league contest.
