Mississippi High School Basketball - West Tallahatchie can't hold off West Bolivar

The West Bolivar Eagles basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting West Tallahatchie Choctaws to 38 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Delta for a 1A Region 5 contest on Saturday, February 4. West Bolivar will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-55 league loss to McEvans (Shaw, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-16.

The Choctaws (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Simmons (Hollandale, MS). The Blue Devils come into the 1A Region 5 contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Simmons edged South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS), 73-71, in a league contest.
